Dog sketches in Watercolor

These 2 dogs visited the Art Glass Guild Patio Sale and Show. Lots of mixed breed rescued dogs. I wish I had taken the photos before I added the patio background, 2nd dogs ears need some refining, well they could both use more work, I loose the freshness when I  overwork. By the time I've done 100 I may get it down!!

Cactus Monday

When Margaret Storer-Rochehttp://waterblossoms.blogspot.com/2008/06/queen-of-night.html Posted her Queen of the Night Blooming Cereus. I knew why I had not seen the bloom on the cactus I drew last week! The prevoius week I drew the cati from memory. When I drove by it must have been early AM or late in the evening. So here is the bud I'm happy I got to see the Bloom on Margaret's post!

Cactus Monday and EDM # 141 Draw Something with Bristles

Turns out I painted the little ones that don't really have bristles or maybe when they grow up they will? Staples gel pens and watercolor in Raffine sketchbook.

Anyone know what type of cactus this is? Are the small ones at the bottom a different type? Its about 8 feet tall! I try to stay away from them.

Postcard to Anita and Spring photo's

My postcard to Anita not quite complete, I added another branch and more birds. I really enjoyed working small, it didn't take the time commitment and very little space. I plan to work even smaller down to the ACEO's 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch size.
This last 2 weeks have been extreme weather wise here. Nicely spaced showers have turned the black and grey fire burned mountainsides from brilliant green to golden orange and purple pink with wildflowers. This is especially spectacular after 7 years of way below our moderate 12 to 14 inch average rainfall. We had SNOW down to 1500 feet Vanentines day! That actually stayed on the ground! This happens only once every 20 to 30 years. It was strange to see this valley surrounded 3/4 around with snow covered mountains.

Aleo Vera flower and plant, spectacular this year!

Sure sign of spring.

California cats don't see enough rain! Sneaker's occupied himself for a long time chasing raindrops down front and back windshields.

EDM challenge #154 and some new pendants

Hum, somehow I deleated the green pendant and earrings so my words are out of order?? Well here they are again! ( I've tried 4 times to straighten this out, you'll have to figure how it was supposed to be if it isn't right this time) This Pendant and earrings are a little different than others I've done, they have the embedded silver I have also melted the end of the wire and hammered it flat.

Little watercolor, the first one I've done in my fold up skechbook Nina suggested. I'll take a picture when I have a few more done.

These 2 pendants have very detailed etching in the dichroic glass.
