New Fused Glass at Studio 25

I thought it would be cool to get a photo with the backs of the jewelry showing the embedded silver bail.  The background looked to busy when I took it, now I wish I had taken all the pendants that way!

These three show the color changes when viewed from different angles.

New year, New Fused Glass work!

Four new fused glass pendants and two new Koi Mobiles! I've posted the pendants multiple times to try to show how the different colors and layers show up when viewed in person.  Each pendant is 2 hand etched layers of dichroic glass with a clear layer between for depth.  They have hand wrought silver bails embedded between the layers which is a much more secure connection than a glue on bail.

The fused glass Koi  are hand painted on both sides, they have been fused and fired a second time at slump temperature to give them extra movement.  The shadows they create are extra fun!

These are now available at Studio 25, Spanish Village, Balboa Park, San Diego

Fused Glass Cat Drawings

These 2 fused glass cat sketches sold at the Art Glass Guilds Patio sale

This one has trapped bubbles between the layers of glass,  I like the detail it adds and there is something kind of cool about that air being trapped in time!
