Horses, a hundred or so! Olympic inspired

I found a way to watch the olympic equestrian events online, the first time I was ever able to see as much of it as I wanted to. I find it thrilling. So began a huge herd of tiny pen horse sketches!   just counted the little sketches and that is about the number of horses I was taking care od at one time in the past!  Just to go through that size herd and look at and assess every pair of eyes, all eour legs, look at each one from head to toe and take care of all thier needs...... geeeze.... good thing I was young!

They evolved into these Winsor Newton ink painted horses, one elephant and one giraffe.

Quick gold sketches evolved into these:

Step 1, pick most defining lines from light pencil sketch draw with pilot gold marker

2 Add Shiva irridescent paintskik

3 Add gold colored pencil

Awesome beautiful collection of horses! I love the golden majestic ones you did with horse and human, and I also loved the pages with all the little horses, an elephant and a giraffe : )! I'm bookmarking the page to show to my daughter when she's back, she's going to squee in delight!

these are so beautiful! I'm glad you gave the details of the ones on black paper, because i've been playing around with an idea using black paper for my drawing class, and now i see it will work perfect!!!

WOW!! Impressive collection of horses. The gold on black is spectacular! I'm still waiting to use my Shiva paintsticks on fabric.

Fantastic! Your first page reminds me of the doodling I always did in high school notebooks, but not that well, of course! I missed seeing the events, but they are my favorite - the only Olympic event where men and women compete as equals!
