Fused Glass Earrings, Copper necklace, Cat Sketches

Fused Dichroic Glass and Silver Earrings
These were made for an artist friend in trade for a beautiful pastel painting she did of our dog Sadie

Copper necklace. I enjoy the forming and hammering, having the joints makes for a better fit. The first one that was one piece had to be fit to each neck.

I've been surprised that the copper necklaces lay flat and are comfortable to wear.

Quick sketches of new cat Spotessa or "Fatcat" She is quite a charactor I plan a little book about her coming to her new home.

Not long after we got her we were given 2 kittens. She didn't like them at first, now she enjoys them and they play.

She REALLY didn't like Sadie when they met, now they are getting along fine!

Oh, how sweet, these gesture sketches of the kitties.... Your jewelry creations are marvelous too, but I am in no position to know anything about it. They are so spontaneous and free in design. And I am totally in love with the dancing earrings!

Thanks Krista, there is a "how to" post Aug. 29, '09 if you are interested to know more about how the Jewelry is made.

Find the simplicity of the cat sketches amazing - just a few lines and there they were.
By the way Hope the wirework demo back in November went well.

I really like your cat drawings. When I was a little girl, I had a book called "April's Kittens" which was illustrated by a Japanese artist. Your drawings remind me of those in that book.
Love your music--we need to hear "here Comes the sun" at this time of year!!

Thank you all very much! I googled "April's Kittens" and the author is Clare Turlay Newberry Awsome cat artist. Fatcat's plain coloring make her easy to simplfy, the kitten's are much harder with all the detail, I love how she handled the fur in pastel(?) I'm inspired!

Jewelry really is not my thing - but these are not jewelry, they are art! Very creative and beautiful. Love your sketches too!

I love the jewellery and it inspires me to make it again(although I trained I'm not really a maker)it's great to see pieces like these. I also think the cat sketches are great, you've really captured her with just the right amount of lines.
Great work

I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the structure of your blog?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 images.
Maybe you could space it out better?
